AvtoVAZ recalls 12,192 cars over brake booster issues

MOSCOW, Mar 12 (PRIME) -- Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ is recalling 12,192 Lada Vesta, Xray, and Largus cars due to possible problems with vacuum boosters, the Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology said on Thursday.

“The vehicles sold from September 2019 until now with the VIN codes according to the application are subject to recall. The reason for the recall of vehicles is to check the operability of the check valve of the vacuum brake booster,” the statement said.
